Heavy Duty Screw Conveyor for Electronics Recycling
General Description
Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations, located in Onalaska, Wisconsin, is a leader in responsible electronics recycling and IT asset disposition. The facility processes a wide range of end-of-life electronics and components, ensuring secure data destruction and maximum recovery of reusable materials. With a mission to protect the environment while delivering compliant and sustainable recycling services, Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations serves commercial and government clients across the U.S.
As part of the recycling process, hammermills are used to shred circuit boards, facilitating the separation and recovery of valuable materials. KWS supplied an inclined screw conveyor to transfer and elevate the shredded materials from a hammermill to storage for further processing.

KWS Advantages
At KWS, we understand the challenges involved in handling abrasive, irregular, and often unpredictable bulk materials, especially in recycling operations. Our team worked closely with Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations to design and deliver rugged, highly efficient screw conveyors capable of withstanding the demanding conditions of electronic waste processing.
KWS engineers provided expert guidance from concept through commissioning, developing a solution tailored to the unique flow characteristics and wear potential of shredded e-waste. Our proven ability to expedite manufacturing ensured the project remained on schedule, even with tight delivery timelines. All equipment was manufactured in our ISO 9001-certified facility in the United States to meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
KWS Special Features
To ensure long-term performance and minimize maintenance in an abrasive, high-wear environment, KWS supplied heavy-duty screw conveyors with several unique features including AR400 flights and trough liners. AR400 steel significantly increases the service life of the conveyor in harsh conditions and is ideal for applications where frequent contact with hard, sharp or gritty material occurs. The conveyor troughs were lined with AR400 plates. These liners are replaceable, ensuring that maintenance is easy and cost-effective while preserving the integrity of the trough body.
KWS incorporated a hinged drop bottom trough design that allows operators to open the lower section of the conveyor for full cleanout. This feature is particularly valuable for operations where cross-contamination must be avoided or where complete discharge is required between runs.
The conveyors were mounted on engineered KWS pipe supports, which provide excellent structural stability and allow for flexible installation around other equipment. This modular support design simplifies maintenance and ensures proper alignment throughout the system’s lifespan.
