KWS Manufacturing Company, LLC

KWS Provides Rapid Delivery of Screw Conveyors for Bionutrients Organic Fertilizer Production Facility

General Description

Bionutrients is a leading producer of sustainable organic fertilizers derived from recycled agricultural byproducts. The company operates a state-of-the-art processing facility that converts poultry manure into nutrient-rich organic soil amendments used in commercial farming operations across the U.S.

To expand production capacity, Bionutrients required a complete bulk material handling system to transport chicken manure throughout their new facility. Due to a tight construction timeline and an aggressive production startup schedule, the customer needed multiple screw conveyors designed, manufactured, and delivered in record time.

KWS was selected as the preferred partner because of our proven ability to engineer high-quality equipment under demanding deadlines while maintaining superior performance and reliability.

KWS Advantages

KWS responded immediately to the needs of Bionutrients, providing complete approval drawings within one day to keep the project on schedule. KWS engineering and production teams coordinated closely with Bionutrients to finalize critical design details and fast-track fabrication.

Thirteen custom screw conveyors were designed, manufactured, and shipped within a remarkably short time frame — ensuring Bionutrients could meet its commissioning deadline. This rapid turnaround exemplifies KWS’s unmatched responsiveness, precision manufacturing, and commitment to customer success. Each conveyor was pre-engineered for easy installation and alignment with existing plant equipment, minimizing startup time and ensuring smooth operation from day one.

KWS Special Features

Each conveyor was specifically designed to handle moist, fibrous chicken manure — a material known for its corrosive and adhesive characteristics. To ensure long-term reliability in this harsh environment, KWS constructed the conveyors from 304 stainless steel, providing superior resistance to corrosion, ammonia exposure, and moisture. Troughs and screws were reinforced for continuous-duty operation, while 2B mill finish internal surfaces minimized material buildup and facilitated easy cleaning. Special shaft seals and close-clearance design minimize leakage and odor release while maintaining consistent material flow. All drives and bearings were selected for continuous duty, to maximize system uptime and simplify maintenance. KWS also supplied detailed assembly documentation and start-up support to ensure a seamless installation process.

Customer Testimonial
