KWS Waste Pack Seals

Introduction

KWS Waste Pack Seals are a reliable and widely used shaft sealing solution for both screw conveyors and drag conveyors. Typically installed between the trough end and a flanged bearing, they are most commonly located at the tail end of a conveyor where effective sealing is critical.

The seal functions by filling the waste pack cavity with packing material that surrounds the rotating shaft, preventing material leakage. For added performance, lubricant can be applied to the packing material, enhancing the seal’s effectiveness and extending service life.

KWS offers Waste Pack Seals in standard CEMA sizes ranging from 1 inch up to 3-7/16 inches in shaft diameter, available for same-day shipment. For specialized needs, Made-to-Order seals can also be manufactured to meet unique application requirements.
