KWS Nylatron Hanger Bearings
KWS stocks both style 216 and 226 hanger bearings from Nylatron material. Nylatron is a trademarked family of nylon plastics that exhibit good wear resistance, strength, and lubricity. The bearing material contains molybdenum disulfide lubricant.
KWS Nylatron hanger bearings are very cost-effective, as well as corrosion and abrasion resistant. Since the bearing is self-lubricating, it generates less heat and causes less wear on coupling shafts.

Nylatron Hanger Bearings Exhibit Good Wear Resistance, Strength, and Lubricity
Features
Wear Resistance – Nylatron handles moderate loads and mildly abrasive bulk materials
Self-Lubricating – Bearing material contains molybdenum disulfide
Wide Temperature Range – Nylatron bearings operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to +220-degrees F
Benefits
Reduced Maintenance Costs – Long run time reduces maintenance
Low Maintenance – No lubrication required for almost zero maintenance
Variety of Applications – Nylatron bearings can handle a wide variety of bulk materials and temperature ranges
Nylatron bearings are ideal for screw conveyor applications involving moderate loads and speeds up to 60-rpm. Bulk materials such as grains, various chemicals, food products, and alternative fuels that are free-flowing, mildly abrasive with bulk densities less than 50-lbs. per cubic foot are perfect applications for the use of Nylatron hanger bearings. Please refer to the KWS Screw Conveyor Engineering Guide for more information.
