One-Piece Bulb Seals for Slide Gates
KWS slide gates are commonly used at exit points of conveyors, hoppers and silos. Containment of bulk materials or fluid from slide gates when there is high overhead pressure is critical to process success.
KWS offers a one-piece bulb seal located above the slide gate blade to seal against head pressure and prevent leakage. The KWS Bulb Seal is extruded from neoprene rubber into a P-shape and vulcanized to fit the shape of the gate. The bulb shape compresses and seals tightly against the gate blade. The seal becomes tighter as pressure increases.
